JUVENILES INVOLVED IN CRIMES AND ITS IMPACT ON SOCIETY
![]() |
India is a developing country. Every day, many new problems are gearing up, and many issues are ending in India. Every government is trying its best to improve the conditions in India. But unfortunately, policies and schemes by the government, are not reaching to every person. Poor people, don't know about them. Under the shadow of acquisitiveness, people are following the wrong deeds. Notably, children b/w 5-18 years are involved in these because of lack of education. There is none to teach them what's right and what's wrong. Some parents, force their children to do so, for example - smuggling, stealing, murdering, terrorism. In case, these juveniles caught for these works; they are not treated harshly for what they are doing because of Juveniles Justice ( Care and Protection) Act 2000. According to this act, a juvenile shall not be treated as an adult even if he/she is involved in any criminal acts for trial and punishment in the court of law. Afterwards, these activities become their profession which is not suitable for them and as well as for society.
These make society's image terrible in front of the world. After some time, community comes into its worst stage where everyone becomes illiterate and a criminal. It just not make that society wrong in which these people live but also the whole Country. The Country's development stops, which is the most critical degree that we can't think of Country, will get financially destroyed. Youth will start thinking that these works are right for them and begin practising them. Everyone will become corrupted.
The government should take serious steps against it so that these practices don't spread further. The best to stop these activities is to remove the Juveniles Justice act; then children would be treated little harshly if they do so...
